With RoHS guidelines and the REACH declaration it is important that all parties communicate clearly about all aspects, so that everyone is aware of the relevant information. 

REACH declaration

REACH refers to all of the chemicals used when making a product - throughout the supply chain. As a major importer and supplier of fasteners and tools, Jeveka is aware of its responsibilities in relation to the REACH regulation.

Jeveka guarantees that it will comply with these responsibilities wherever the regulation applies to its products. Consult our REACH declaration here.

RoHS guidelines

The following guidelines also apply:

• 2011/65/EU concerning the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS Directive)
• 2002/96/EC disposal of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE Directive)
  Annex 1B of directive 2002/96/EC provides a complete list of products covered by directive 2011/65/EU

The requirements of the above guidelines relate in particular to the following products:

• Zinc-plated and passivated fasteners
• Non-electrolytically applied zinc layer (zinc lamellae, Dacromet ®)
• Synthetic materials and other coatings
• Cu / Zn alloys (such as brass)
• Lead alloys

Products we supply according the RoHS and WEEE requirements:

Lead
As far as our products contain lead, it relates only as a minor alloying element in machining steel. The maximum percentage of lead in machining steel (0.35%) is exempt under the RoHS guidelines.

Dodd Frank Wall Street

Since 2012, the Code of Conduct has been issued by the Responsible Business Association, contradicting the use ‘Conflict Minerals’ that are mined in the Democratic Republic of Congo. It concerns specifically Tin, Tantalum, Tungsten and Gold, also known as the ‘3TG’ substances. This directive is also known as the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Regulation. We comply with these regulations (although almost no fasteners in our range contain these substances) because we want to ensure that we do not support conflict in this region.
